My mom gave me an Instant Pot to encourage me to eat more home-cooked meals. It’s because I’ve never been a great cook. This was many years ago. And I’ve never regretted it.

Lodge Cast Iron Oven

Pots that have made of cast iron are one of my most important kitchen tools. First and foremost, they have required for achieving a great crust on a homemade loaf of bread. But they can also use for soups, stews, roasting, deep-frying, and other things.

They’re also relatively inexpensive. And when properly cared for, they may last a lifetime. Lodge’s Double Dutch Oven is one of my favorites because the lid doubles as a second cast-iron pan, making it twice as useful.

Fish Spatula

I’ve never used my fish spatula to catch fish. It’s a thin, flexible edge. On the other hand, makes it ideal for getting under the edges of fried eggs, seared meat, and grilled cheeses. We do use our fish spatula for fish, among other things.

I wouldn’t say I like it when chopped vegetables roll off the edge of a cutting board. So, I make sure to use one that takes up the majority of the counter space. It’s large enough to fit an onion and garlic with room to spare, so I don’t feel claustrophobic while honing my (mediocre) knife skills.
